It’s no secret that Jack White isn’t all that fond of Donald Trump. To once again drive his point home, the former Consequence Cover Star and 2024 Artist of the Year slammed both Trump and Elon Musk by altering the lyrics of the Boarding House Reach song “Corporation” during a ripping live performance in Boston last month.
In a newly surfaced live clip, White can be heard updating the verses to take aim at Musk’s influence over the United States government, the hypocrisy of the two political figures, and their overall sleaziness. Check out a fan-shot video of the moment below.
“I was thinking about taking [sic] government subsidies and starting my own electric car company. Who’s with me?,” White sings before continuing, “I’m thinking about not being elected. Never holding a public office. Never serving one day of military service. But somehow having the authority to control parts of the U.S. Government. Who’s with me?”
Another standout line includes, “I’m thinking about not being properly vetted by the Supreme Court or Congress, just doing whatever the hell I want because some fucking bloated asshole orange fucking gorilla who’s [sic] failed at every business he’s ever ran wants me to be his golf cart partner.”
White is currently in the midst of his “No Name” tour, which supports his album of the same name. Check out our review of that record here, and pick up tickets for your chance to catch this fiery new version of “Corporation” here.
